20km - 01 Mar 09

My long awaited weekly 20km run which had been missed for the past 3 weeks, thanks to the damn routine. Today's turnout was the best, we had the regulars, OMP, Muzhong, Mingkiat (Newly signed up regular runner), Me... our "in-house" pilot - Leonard, and the most effort award winner - Zongren. Siswi still hasn't recover enough to join us this time. No worries, she will be back in action in no time... coz she's also a runnerholic.

My aim this time is to try to do below 2hrs, we started off in a ok pace... juz keep running and running, the turnaround point then i realise i'm on almost my 10km pace... no wonder i feeel quite tired, sian, there's still the route back.. Another 10km. As i ran, the stupid lousy saucony socks didn't help lor. They absorbed so much sweat that my whole shoes are wet from within, every step i take was swish swosh swish swosh... super uncomfortable. And the thought of my new shoes are goin to smell... Its really @#$%^!!! The lousy old converse socks can do a better job. I need gd socks!! Who can recommend?? Muz be comfortable, absorb sweat, soft and wun be wet.

Bearing with the discomfort, still try to push myself, very conscious of the timing too... I think really pushed a little too much, as i ran, i was thinking: "SHIT! Sundown like very siong... abit dun feel like running liao" Why would a non runner for the past 26years do this to himself.... haha. But to the runners i forced to run... Dun rejoice, it would never happen... We Will Be Running!

So timing for today:
Distance: 20km
Timing:

Me - 1 Hr 55 min (Yay!! I did it!!)
Leonard - 2 Hr 04 min
OMP - 2 Hr 14 min
Mingkiat - 2 Hr 24 min
Zongren - 2 Hr 51 min (Great courage and effort!!)

Muzhong due to our damn routine, too has stopped for the past 3 weeks, so he's doing progressive running to get back on form to do 20km comfortably.

Went for breakfast at OLD TOWN with all and khim (Leonard's baby), had the extorbitant strongly recommended Nasi Lemak by leonard with the extorbitant can of 100 plus. Nasi Lemak was quite gd, but still extorbitant.. Feel like carrot. Chilled out, chit chat with the rest trying to psycho me to try diving. Introduced another new sport to my life too... - Rockclimbing. This, we had roughly anchored a date for it so it should be realised shortly... As for diving... we shall see...
