Another run at ECP - 14km

Yesterday was our 2nd 14km run, turnout was juz as good, met at ECP carpark F2 supposing at 7pm... As the old naval tradition, last man arrived at 7.50pm...
We had a couple of guests - Pinto, my ex-chief who, i remembered was the size of Moses/Patson bout 4 years ago, but now, he's super fit, completes full marathon in 4Hr30min... incredible... someone to look up to. Songboon - My ex NSF WCS... spotting bright colored hair now, came and join us juz to met up with us i guess... didn't really run much....

As soon as everyone arrives, we kicked off the run, this time however, some of the guys had a choice of turning back at the 5km mark, which makes it a 10km run, after feedback from them during the previous 14km that the distance was to long for them.

This time round, the run seems long, maybe its because i had ran this route a several times liao... so abit boring, could memorize all the landmarks... distance of certain stretches... muz plan new route next time... Had not really ran since the 20km with muzhong, this run didn't seem as comfortable as previously, but i took care of knees to make sure i dun push them so hard. They didn't hurt this time compared to the previous one. Gotta clock a couple more 14km and 20km runs, once comfortable can break through the 20km mark... haha... looking forward when it comes...

Running long distance really takes time to recover, after last night, this morning at gym, strength was compromised... think really haven recover fast enough. Couldn't pump as much as b4... argh.

Below are the timings for yesterday's run. Only those who ran 14km were recorded. Melvin and woon ran the 10km route, Pinto ran bout 8km Paul fall out this time round, with songboon walking with him when they turned back at Macdonald's.

New Lip For my Ride

My new Feel's Lip... Initially i wanted the J's racing lip, but after i saw the Feel's lip's fitting + i got "ling Gan" on how i want to spray the lip, i decided to get the Feel's lip... subtler than the J's ...

Installed the lip at Lye designs which are well known for their workmanship... I'm glad it turned out somewhere along what i had imagine it to be... eyeing a CF bonnet too... but muz restrain... the bloody insurance damn ex for this car juz because of the word "Type R"... The euro r's dun cost that much to be insured too.... bloodsuckers...

My eyes are nearly closing as i'm typing.... Have been real tired these few weeks... deadline after deadline... i've got a few things to blog but i shall do it another time coz i'm DAMN tired.....

Halfway trained..

Yay!! Juz completed 20km this morning with muzhong from fort rd carpark B2 to nsrcc and back... Manage to come back with all limbs intact, especially my knees.... i specially " saved up" my knees for the past 3 days for this morning's 20km... and they made it... came back with wobbly knees though which i though was ok....

I and muzhong maintained a comfortable pace all the way, chatting throughout the run to distract our thoughts and made running easier... although the pace was comfortable, but even so, i couldn't open up during the last few km... well i felt it was an acheivement for me, but after this run... i can feel that 42 is still a long way to train.. imagine this! x 2... *faint*

SPL Shoot

Was in the gym this morning, when Jason of Season audio called me, he ask me to drop by his shop without telling me the reason... Since i'm available, i went down...
Saw Alan, Robert there as well, muz be sumthing to see 2 regulars down at his place on a Sat morning... Alan was busy moving the trophies down to the working bay. As i helped, found out that the reason Jason called us was to join in the SPL mag shoot.

Afew other regulars couldn't make it, like ah boy, vampire, yaris guy etc... We proceed over to the shooting ground - Rite in front of Chinese Garden. Here are the pics.

My knees still hurt like hell after last night's run.... Muzhong juz jio sunday morning 20km...haven committed yet in view of my knees, will stop running for these few days and hopefully can reover by sat... anyone got any family secret method for fast recovery??

New toy for weekly run

Collected my new toy yesterday... hehe
The Polar FT80 G1 training computer....
Eyed it for quite sumtime, got afew friends to find for lobang, and all thanks to songboon for the gd lobang...
Standard pack consisted of the FT80 wristwatch, the HRM transmitter belt, the GPS sensor, and the polar flowlink unit.





It came juz in time for yesterday's evening planned run of the week. We had the biggest turnout ever. We ran from ECP sunset bay (F2 Carpark) to end of fort rd and back. We didn't exactly know how far it was, thats when the G1 came into place. It recorded 14km, i admitted it was too long for some of us there. But i'm glad everyone completed it.
